Fred has been kiting the Nordeste long before the pousadas, the 4x4 support cars, the guides. He used to run the line solo. Just a backpack, two kites, a tent, and 500 km of empty coastline.

No support vehicle. No phone signal. Sleeping in fishing villages, eating what the day brought in, paying for a roof with stories. Pure wind, pure water, pure Nordeste.

That's the trip he wants people to feel now, with the comfort dialled up but the soul kept the same.

Gustavo is a kite instructor at Mané school. He's great at explaining things calmly and friendly, and is always ready to help, on the beach, in the water, after the session.

If you're new to kiting, he's the patient voice that makes the first hours feel less scary.

Sofia leads the yoga sessions every day of the trip. She brings a calm, steady tempo to the morning and a slower, restorative practice in the evening.

Her classes adapt to whoever shows up that day, from people who have never tried yoga to those who practise daily. She also runs a camera between sessions, so the trip stays on film.

Gustavo Sr. is at the wheel of the 4x4 every day of the season. Second year on the line, but a lifetime on the road, decades of driving, motorcycling, and paragliding.
